I was so blessed to spend time this month at the Platinum Yucatan Princess Hotel in the Mayan Riviera. I booked last minute with redtag.ca and had a BLAST. We stayed in a Honeymoon suite (to die for), and were treated to champagne, chocolate and a fruit basket on arrival.
You know I'm not always an all-inclusive girlie, but after our stay, I totally get the appeal. You just get to sit back, relax, and be totally taken care of. From the amenities to the staff, I would 1000% recommend this resort.
The Platinum Yucatan Princess is actually among several “Princess” resorts in the area. This one however, is adults only, and a 5-star beachfront hotel. We stayed in the Honeymoon Suite, which had a great balcony, and poolside view., but all of the rooms are exceptional and perfect for couples to enjoy a luxurious stay.
The hotel has 6 restaurants that serve a variety of quality dishes (Aroma Restaurant, Bruschetta Restaurant, Rodeo Grill Restaurant, SkyLights Restaurant, Tao Restaurant, and the Yucatán Buffet Restaurant). We only had time to experience 3 of the 6, but overall enjoyed food and ambiance! The hotel also has 7 bars that are scattered all around the complex, from the pool area to the beach. There are spa and wellness facilities and a beauty salon available for you to unwind and pamper yourself while on vacation. We treated ourselves to a great massage, and loved it!
This resort is an All-Inclusive, which made our stay so convenient. All-inclusive services include breakfast, lunch, and dinner (in different buffets), unlimited drinks at all bars (national and premium), a fully-equipped gym, access to the Casa Club, daily and evening entertainment. It also includes activities on the beach and in the swimming pool, introductory diving classes (and other classes such as dance lessons, yoga lessons, etc.), non-motorized watersports, and more.
The Platinum Yucatan Princess also has a business center, for those who need to work and play, as well as a meeting room or banquet space where you can hold a corporate or special event during your stay. There is a special area for Weddings and Wedding planning, souvenir shops on site and a medical center with a doctor on call 24/7, available for any health-related issues (but we hope you don’t ever need them, ha).
The Platinum Yucatan actually has 14 contemporary honeymoon suites (6 suites are bottom floor and have direct access to the pool) with exclusive services for couples and special details such as round beds and a hot tub on the terrace—which is amazing and extra-romantic. In addition, the resort boasts 218 beautifully designed deluxe junior suites (25 with hot tubs on the terrace), 108 swim-out deluxe junior suites with direct pool access, 103 platinum deluxe rooms (31 with hot tubs on the terrace), 26 swim-out platinum deluxe rooms, 2 grandiose master suites with a spectacular view and hot tubs on the terrace, and a magnificent presidential suite with a separate bedroom for utmost privacy. This suite has full-height windows and a perfect view from the terrace.
All suites are modern, fully equipped, and have exclusive services and unique benefits tailored for every guest. For all guests there is private check-in and room service is available 24 hours a day, which we definitely took advantage of!

Overall we had such an amazing stay!
