5 Ways To Achieve Your Goals

Updated: Nov 4, 2022

This week on the blog...

Do you love setting goals but have a hard time actually accomplishing them? Don’t we all. Many of us give up on our goals too soon despite our desire to achieve them. Honestly, it happens to the best of us.

To give you a hand, we are sharing some key tips to help you achieve your goals...for real this time!

Here are 5 key ways to achieve your goals!

1. Set the right goals (for you!)

The key is to not set too many goals at once and also to set SMART goals. SMART Goals are—Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, and Time-Bound.

It's also important to pick goals that challenge you, but not so much that they become impossible. Your goals also need to speak to you and be important to you. I use notes of my phone to write them down, track progress, and motivate myself with realistic goals.

2. Keep track of your progress

Tracking your goals is a way to help you get closer to achieving them. Like I said, notes on the iphone – yay!

Whether you write your goals down in your private journal or on a sticky note you place above your desk, the act of writing down goals is useful.

Writing them forces you to clarify your goals, and you can revisit them regularly to see how you’re doing.

3. Stay focused

With any important goal or dream, having focus is important. Don’t let distractions or discouragement drive you away from achieving what you want to do. Ignore the noise, stick to them, and stay focused!

Don’t forget to lean on those around you when you need an extra boost. You can also talk to mentors or like-minded people and ask for help if you need support to stay focused.

4. Create a comfortable environment to succeed

Build your environment for success by making it easier for you to do tasks that will help you achieve your goals. Surround yourself with good people, good energy, and comfortable space to soar!

Creating the right environment can also make the habits that derail you from your goals inconvenient or difficult to do and as a result you won’t do them as much.

5. Remember, things take time

Don’t let a setback, a change of plans, or a “hiccup” bring you down. Be flexible, be open, and know that you WILL achieve your goals, in time.

Most importantly, don’t give up. If things get challenging, reassess and make adjustments to work towards your goals.
