I loved Italy. Loved might even be an understatement. I spent a few weeks here in 2018 and have been dreaming of another Italian getaway ever since. I have come up with a few suggested itineraries for your next Italian vacation, obviously can be modified as you like!
My Itinerary:
Duration: 15 days
Great for: First time in Italy, those seeking adventure, stopping in many places.
Naples (2 days) - Sorrento (1 day) - Positano (3 days) - Rome (3 days) - Venice (3 days) - Lake Como and Road trip (3 days) - Milan
*A perfect overview of Italy for first timers
*Lots of moving around though, so not ideal for those not well traveled or getting older. More for adventure seekers.
*On our Lake Como/Road trip days we actually drove into Switzerland too for the day. Such an amazing drive and road trip.
* You can tweak itinerary as you see fit!
Northern Italy:
Duration: 14 days
Great for: First time in Italy, those sticking to one region
Milan (2days) - Lake Como and Surroundings (3 days) - Venice (3 days) - Florence (3 days) - Rome (3 days) - Milan to fly out
